About Me

Growing up in a small rural town in northern Alberta, Josie was ​inspired by the mountains and all things vintage. Her passion for ​art was ignited early as she explored elements of collage, vibrant ​colours and discovered pop art. Incorporating mixed media, ​landscape collage as well as painting and sketching, Josie's work ​continues to evolve inspired by the mountain vistas that surround ​her. Unique to Josie is her use of pressed flowers which create ​dreamy meadows, texture and depth to her works.

Josie's work takes elements of pop art and infuses them with ​collage, mixed media and layering. Her love of vintage often ​appears through her use of old magazines drawing on the feeling ​of past times and eras and the ski/outdoor lifestyle. Her work ​invites viewers to ignite their sense of adventure as they explore ​their own journey within a piece.
